Frequently Asked Questions

Imaging Questions

Q: How are your images printed?
A: We have our photographs printed at a professional imaging lab - the quality you can expect from the image on your jewelry will be the same as the quality you expect from your wall prints.

Q: Can the image get wet once it's set in the jewelry?
A: Yes! We coat the photograph in an industrial strength, waterproof coating, so it's safe to wear the jewelry in the shower or pretty much anywhere. The coating has a shore hardiness of 80 (a hard hat is 75), so it's very durable.

Q: Will you adjust my images in any way?
A: No, we assume that when photos are sent by you, they are exactly the way you’d like them colored and edited.

Q: Will you crop my images?

A: We prefer that you crop the images when possible to ensure you are happy with the artistic look of the image. You do not have to crop them to an exact size & shape; if the image is square or circular, just send us the image cropped square.  Due to sizing of some of the vertical & horizontal pieces, it may be necessary to crop them slightly.

Q: What is the best file format, resolution and size?
A: We recommend .jpeg files with a resolution of 300 dpi. We prefer files to be no larger than 6 inches. If you are working with pixels, that translates to 1800 pixels at 300 dpi.

Q: How should I name my images for uploading?
A: There are also directions on each of the product pages of the wholesale section.
